OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.

1. CONTEST SPONSORS AND ADMINISTRATOR

The 2026 Best Beard of the Lowcountry Competition (“Contest”) is conducted by Moul Enterprises LLC dba Moul, REALTORS®, located at 11132 May River Rd, Bluffton, SC 29910, in cooperation with Barbers of the Lowcountry, Inc., located at 17 Sherington Dr, Bluffton, SC 29910; Unisource Mortgage Services, located at 29 Plantation Park Dr #113, Bluffton, SC 29910; Operation Patriots FOB, located at 328 Lakeview Dr, Ridgeland, SC 29936; and DR Horton Hilton Head, located at 86 Sanctuary Dr, Ridgeland, SC 29936.

Collectively, these entities are referred to in these Official Rules as the “Sponsors.”

Moul Enterprises LLC dba Moul, REALTORS® is the official Contest Administrator (“Contest Administrator”) and is responsible for the administration and interpretation of these Official Rules, including eligibility determinations, entry verification, voting verification, disqualifications, and final Contest results.

2. ELIGIBILITY

The Contest is open to individuals who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry and who reside in Beaufort County or Jasper County, South Carolina. This includes residents of communities such as Beaufort, Bluffton, Hilton Head Island, Hardeeville, Ridgeland, and surrounding areas located within Beaufort or Jasper County.

Employees, owners, officers, directors, agents, and immediate family members of the Sponsors may participate only if expressly permitted by the Contest Administrator.

Any Participant affiliated with a Sponsor will be subject to the same entry requirements, finalist selection criteria, voting rules, and prize eligibility requirements as all other Participants and will receive no preferential treatment.

Participants must meet all eligibility requirements at the time of entry and through the awarding of prizes. The Contest Administrator reserves the right to request reasonable documentation to verify a Participant’s age, identity, and residency before awarding a prize.

The Contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law.

3. CONTEST PERIOD

The Contest begins at 12:00 AM Eastern Time on October 1, 2026 and ends at 6:00 PM Eastern Time on December 31, 2026.

The Entry Period begins October 1, 2026 at 12:00 AM ET and ends November 30, 2026 at 6:00 PM ET.

The Public Voting Period will begin after the Top 10 Finalists have been selected, announced, and posted to bestbeardlowcountry.com. The exact opening date and time of public voting will be announced on the Contest website. Public voting will end December 31, 2026 at 6:00 PM ET.

Winners will be announced in January 2027 after voting results have been reviewed and verified.

4. HOW TO ENTER

Participants may enter the Contest by completing and submitting the official entry form available at bestbeardlowcountry.com during the Entry Period.

Limit one Contest entry per person.

No purchase is necessary to enter or win. Making a purchase from, using the services of, or otherwise doing business with any Sponsor will not improve a Participant’s chances of becoming a Finalist or winning.

Each Participant must provide accurate and complete information, including a valid email address, telephone number, and photograph.

By submitting an entry, the Participant acknowledges that they have read, understand, and agree to be bound by these Official Rules.

5. PHOTO REQUIREMENTS

Each Participant must submit a photograph that clearly shows the Participant and their beard.

The Participant represents and warrants that they own the submitted photograph or have obtained all rights and permissions necessary to submit the photograph and grant the rights described in these Official Rules.

Photographs containing unlawful, obscene, threatening, discriminatory, or otherwise inappropriate content may be rejected at the Contest Administrator’s discretion.

The Contest Administrator may also reject photographs that do not adequately show the Participant or their beard or that otherwise do not permit reasonable evaluation of the entry.

6. SELECTION OF THE TOP 10 FINALISTS

After the Entry Period closes, a panel selected by the Contest Administrator (“Panelists”) will review eligible entries and select up to 10 Finalists.

Panelists may consider factors including:

• Overall beard appearance
• Fullness and/or length
• Grooming and style
• Originality and character
• Overall presentation

The Panelists’ selection of Finalists is final, subject to these Official Rules and verification by the Contest Administrator.

Selection as a Finalist does not guarantee a prize.

7. PUBLIC VOTING

The selected Finalists will be displayed at bestbeardlowcountry.com for public voting.

Public voting will begin after the Top 10 Finalists have been selected, announced, and posted to the Contest website. The exact opening date and time will be published at bestbeardlowcountry.com.

Voting ends December 31, 2026 at 6:00 PM ET.

Limit one vote per email address during the entire Public Voting Period.

Each valid email address may be used to cast one vote. Individuals with more than one valid email address may cast one vote from each valid email address.

Automated voting, bots, scripts, vote exchanges, purchased votes, temporary or disposable email addresses, fraudulent accounts, or any other method intended to circumvent the voting restrictions is prohibited.

The Contest Administrator reserves the right to investigate voting activity and invalidate any vote reasonably determined to have been obtained or submitted in violation of these Official Rules.

The Contest Administrator may use reasonable technical and administrative methods to identify duplicate, automated, fraudulent, manipulated, or otherwise ineligible votes.

8. DETERMINATION OF WINNERS

Subject to verification of eligibility and voting results, the Finalist receiving the greatest number of valid votes will be named the 2026 Best Beard of the Lowcountry First Place Winner.

The Finalist receiving the second-greatest number of valid votes will be named the Second Place Winner.

In the event of a tie affecting First or Second Place, the Panelists will determine the applicable winner between the tied Finalists using the judging considerations described in Section 6.

All voting results are subject to verification by the Contest Administrator before becoming final.

Decisions of the Contest Administrator regarding the validity and final calculation of votes are final to the extent permitted by applicable law.

9. PRIZES

There will be two (2) prize winners, one First Place Winner and one Second Place Winner.

First Place Prize Package

Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”): $1,125

The First Place Winner will receive:

• $400 Amazon Gift Card, ARV $400
• Beard Grooming Kit from Barbers of the Lowcountry, ARV $100
• Operation Patriots FOB sponsored “Warrior for a Day” experience, including a property tour, skeet shoot, lunch, and activities on the range, ARV $400
• DR Horton sponsored gift basket, ARV $200
• Framed award, ARV $25
• Recognition on the Best Beard of the Lowcountry website
• Bragging rights

Second Place Prize Package

Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”): $225

The Second Place Winner will receive:

• $200 Amazon Gift Card, ARV $200
• Framed award, ARV $25
• Recognition on the Best Beard of the Lowcountry website
• The sadness of Second Place
• One year to grow a better beard

Total Approximate Retail Value of all prizes: $1,350.

Actual retail value may vary. A winner will not receive the difference between the stated ARV and the actual retail value of a prize.

Prizes have no cash redemption value except for the stated value of the Amazon gift cards and are non-transferable.

If an advertised prize becomes unavailable, the Sponsor providing that prize or the Contest Administrator may substitute a prize of equal or greater value.

All federal, state, and local taxes, if applicable, and any other expenses or obligations not expressly included as part of a prize are the sole responsibility of the applicable winner.

The odds of winning a prize depend upon the number of eligible entries received, selection as a Finalist, and the number of valid votes received during the Public Voting Period.

Amazon is not a Sponsor of or otherwise affiliated with this Contest.

10. OPERATION PATRIOTS FOB “WARRIOR FOR A DAY” EXPERIENCE

Participation in the Operation Patriots FOB “Warrior for a Day” experience is subject to scheduling, availability, weather conditions, eligibility requirements, safety requirements, rules, policies, and any releases or waivers required by Operation Patriots FOB.

Activities involving firearms, shooting sports, range activities, or other recreational activities may involve inherent risks. Participation in individual activities may be restricted based upon safety considerations or other requirements established by Operation Patriots FOB.

The winner is not required to participate in any particular activity.

Operation Patriots FOB retains authority over the operation of its property, range, equipment, activities, and applicable safety requirements.

11. WINNER NOTIFICATION AND PRIZE CLAIM

Potential winners will be contacted using the telephone number and email address provided with their Contest entry.

A potential winner will have 48 hours from the time notification is sent to respond and claim the prize.

If a potential winner cannot be contacted, provides inaccurate contact information, fails to respond within 48 hours, is determined to be ineligible, declines the prize, or otherwise fails to comply with these Official Rules, the Contest Administrator may disqualify the potential winner.

In that event, the Contest Administrator may award the applicable prize to the eligible Finalist receiving the next-highest number of valid votes.

The Contest Administrator may require a potential winner to provide reasonable documentation confirming eligibility and to execute appropriate prize acceptance, liability release, publicity release, or activity-specific waiver documents before receiving or participating in a prize.

12. DISQUALIFICATION AND CONTEST INTEGRITY

The Contest Administrator reserves the right to disqualify any Participant who:

• Violates these Official Rules
• Provides false or misleading information
• Attempts to manipulate the entry, judging, or voting process
• Uses fraudulent or automated voting methods
• Attempts to cast more than one vote using the same email address or otherwise circumvent the voting requirements
• Harasses or threatens another Participant, Panelist, Sponsor, Contest Administrator, or member of the public in connection with the Contest
• Engages in conduct intended to interfere with the fair administration of the Contest

The Contest Administrator reserves the right to investigate any suspected violation of these Official Rules and to invalidate entries or votes reasonably determined to be fraudulent, manipulated, automated, duplicated, or otherwise ineligible.

Decisions of the Contest Administrator regarding eligibility, entry validity, voting validity, disqualification, rule interpretation, Contest administration, and final Contest results are final to the extent permitted by applicable law.

13. TECHNICAL PROBLEMS, MODIFICATION OR CANCELLATION

The Contest Administrator and Sponsors are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, corrupted, misdirected, illegible, or improperly submitted entries or votes, or for internet, website, email, telecommunications, hardware, software, server, network, or other technical failures.

If the Contest cannot be conducted as planned because of technical failures, unauthorized intervention, fraud, tampering, equipment failure, website malfunction, force majeure, or any other circumstance that compromises the integrity, security, fairness, or proper administration of the Contest, the Contest Administrator reserves the right, subject to applicable law, to suspend, modify, extend, or terminate the Contest.

If appropriate, the Contest Administrator may determine winners from eligible entries or valid votes received before the affected event.

14. PUBLICITY AND PHOTO RELEASE

By entering the Contest, the Participant grants the Contest Administrator and Sponsors a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, publish, display, distribute, crop, resize, edit, and otherwise use the Participant’s submitted photograph, name, likeness, Contest placement, and related Contest materials in connection with:

• The current Contest
• Announcement and promotion of Contest winners
• Future Best Beard of the Lowcountry competitions
• Contest Administrator and Sponsor websites and social media
• Digital and print advertising
• Other promotional materials relating to the Contest

Such use may occur without additional payment or consideration to the Participant, except where prohibited by law.

The Participant waives any right to inspect or approve final promotional materials in which their authorized photograph, name, or likeness appears.

Ownership of the original photograph remains with its respective copyright owner. Nothing in these Official Rules transfers copyright ownership of the Participant’s photograph to the Contest Administrator or Sponsors.

15. PRIVACY

Information collected through the Contest entry and voting process may be used to administer the Contest, verify eligibility, verify entries and votes, communicate with Participants and winners, prevent fraud, maintain Contest records, and fulfill prizes.

Participation in the Contest does not, by itself, constitute consent to receive unrelated marketing emails or text messages from the Contest Administrator or Sponsors.

Any optional marketing communications will be subject to separate consent where required by applicable law.

16. RELEASE AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the extent permitted by law, each Participant agrees to release and hold harmless the Contest Administrator, Sponsors, and their respective owners, parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, representatives, agents, successors, and assigns from claims, injuries, losses, liabilities, or damages arising from or relating to participation in the Contest or acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of a prize.

Each winner assumes responsibility for their prize after it has been accepted or delivered.

Nothing in these Official Rules is intended to waive or limit any right or liability that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.

17. SOCIAL MEDIA AND THIRD-PARTY DISCLAIMER

This Contest is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, Meta, or Amazon.

Any trademarks or company names referenced in connection with prizes remain the property of their respective owners.

Participants release Facebook, Instagram, Meta, and Amazon from responsibility associated with the administration of this Contest to the extent permitted by law.

18. GOVERNING LAW

The Contest and these Official Rules are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

19. AGREEMENT TO OFFICIAL RULES

Participation in the Contest constitutes the Participant’s full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules and to the decisions of the Contest Administrator concerning administration of the Contest, subject to applicable law.
